Electric Vehicle Charger Grants

What is OZEV?

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is a team working across government to support the transition to zero emission vehicles. They provide support for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to support chargepoint infrastructure across the UK.

As OZEV Approved Installers Green Generation Electrical Ltd are able to undertake installation and infrastructure work that qualifies for one or more government grants. We will also provide you assistance with your grant application and claiming back the grant money on completion of works. If you are successful in your grant application you never have to pay and reclaim the monies, it is simply deducted from your final bill and we take care of claiming the money from OZEV

What Government Grants Are Available For Electric Vehicle Chargers?

The grant schemes have evolved and the original homeowner grants are no longer available, but there are two categories of electric vehicle charger grants still available: The “Electric Vehicle ChargePoint Grant” and the “Workplace Charge Scheme (WCS) Grant”. Within both of these schemes there are two categories of grant available; providing financial assitance with both the cost of the charger and also any infrastructure work that is required to install it (for example to help with required groundwork and excavation). Although there are no longer grants available to owner occupiers of homes with driveways there are still options available for homeowners with on street parking and also tenants, landlords or owner occupiers of appartment blocks with off street allocated parking as well as small buinesses and charities. Much of the information you need can be found in the drop-down menus below, but if you want any more information about grants that may be available to you, get in touch with us today and we’ll be glad to help you save money.
